It’s no secret that Ellicottville is famous for its eclectic festival schedule, truly offering something for everyone. One of the biggest weekends of the summer is just around the corner … Summer Music Festival will take over the village and Holiday Valley Resort June 30-July 2. From arts & crafts vendors and a pet parade to some really big names in the music industry performing slopeside, this is definitely one weekend not to be missed. Check out the full weekend’s schedule right here, and be sure to purchase your concert tickets early to take advantage of discounted ticket pricing. Pre-sale tickets are available through June 18 on the Chamber’s website and at all area Wegmans. Children 12 and under are free! STROLL THE STREETS

Bring the entire family downtown to enjoy fun, FREE activities catering to kids of all ages! Saunter the sidewalks and discover a variety of entertainment including live music, stilt walkers, games, prizes and specials offered by local businesses and sponsors. Keep tabs on activities as they are added to the schedule by following “Ellicottville Stroll the Streets” on Facebook.
KICKOFF PARTY @ 6:00 PM
Main Lodge at Holiday Valley
Kickoff the weekend with a festive pre-weekend party at Holiday Valley’s main lodge. Head to the base of Mardi Gras, claim your complimentary drink, and take a chairlift ride up to the top where you’ll be treated to some festive treats and a cash bar. This year’s theme is the 80’s so you can expect to rock out to some 80’s music when you get to the top! (Everyone is encouraged to dress the theme!) Take the lift back down and head inside for a delicious buffet. Tickets for the Kickoff Party are $50 pre-sale / $60 at the gate.

Downtown Ellicottville will spotlight over 50 vendors displaying and selling their wares ... everything from handmade soaps and candles to home decor and original works of art. It’s an amazing opportunity to find a variety of unique keepsakes!
PET PARADE

One of the most entertaining (and crowd pleasing) events of the weekend is the annual Pet Parade, which will march down Ellicottville’s main drag to the gazebo where awards will be given in many different and fun categories. If you’ve never seen this, you’re missing out! Pets range from the typical dogs to the more unusual marchers - baby calves, goats, hermit crabs … everyone is invited to join in!

Slopes of Holiday Valley
Ellicottville is pleased to welcome back the BPO for what promises to be another stellar holiday performance. Pirates and Princesses will take to the fairways of Holiday Valley as this year’s theme, accompanied by the BPO performing music as characters roam through the crowds. The show will also feature music choreographed to sky-illuminating fireworks, including Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and others. Tickets are $30 pre-sale / $40 at the gate. Children 12 & under are free. Gates open at 6pm.

Grand Funk Railroad with founding members Don Brewer (vocals and drums, writer and singer of the multi-million selling hit, We’re An American Band) and bassist Mel Schacher, “The God of Thunder.” Joining Don and Mel are true “All Stars.” Singer Max Carl is a rock veteran from 38 Special. Lead guitarist Bruce Kulick is best known for his 12 years with KISS and also has credits with Michael Bolton, Meatloaf and Billy Squier. Keyboardist Tim Cashion, affectionately called “Dr. Tim,” credits include stints with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and Robert Palmer. Opening for Grand Funk Railroad is Carl Dixon. As one of Canada’s most respected musicians and prolific songwriters, he’s renowned as both a solo artist and band member of groups such as Coney Hatch, The Guess Who and April Wine. Tickets are $30 pre-sale / $40 at the gate. Children 12 & under are free. Gates open at 6pm.
