THE BEST OF ...

ELLICOTTVILLE, NY - Those us who live, work, and play in Ellicottville know we pretty much have it all in terms of some of the best shops, restaurants, outdoor pursuits and lifestyle in general, you’ll find anywhere in the U.S.

We’ve won numerous accolades from the media over the years, from consistently being ranked one of the top après destinations in the northeast by SKI magazine, to being portrayed as the ‘Aspen of the East’ by the New York Times. And now, adding to this growing list of recognition, Lake Erie Living’s annual ‘Best Of’ edition ranks Ellicottville as just one of New York’s top three ‘hot spots’ tourists need to check out sooner than later as part of their travel plans. Let’s face it, the town is in pretty respectable company alongside of The Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Lake. And… we’re the only four-season destination among them.

Apart from the lofty recognition of being one of the state’s top destinations this year, the magazine doled out special recognition to Adventure Bound on the Fly as the Best Fly Fishing operator, thanks to their introducing such unique and innovative experiences as stand up paddle board (SUP) fly fishing.

Monroe Street Brick and Brew was also awarded for their creative culinary touch – tied specifically to their Beer Cheese Burger Pizza as one of the best pizza’s you’ll find anywhere – good enough on its own merit to a visit to Ellicottville.

One of the most exciting aspects of this latest recognition is that Lake Erie Living is a multi-state and province publication, with a loyal following of readers from not only Pennsylvania, but also New York, Michigan, Ohio and Ontario as well.

And now, those readers know what we’ve known all along. Ellicottville pretty much has it all, right here, in this fabulous, friendly, fun-loving town.
